TechoNE - Baner-home

Where High Tech Meets High Plains

The City of Kearney has positioned TechoNE Crossing as the perfect industrial park for data center or light-manufacturing development.

Specific advantages include:

  • An onsite substation supported by Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD), a pro-economic development utility.
  • A partnership between the city of Kearney and NPPD ensures fast-track solutions customized to client needs.
  • Minimal environmental hazards exist at its location outside the 100- and 500-year floodplain in a non-threat seismic activity region.
  • Presence above the country’s largest freshwater supply, the Ogallala Aquifer.

Zoning & Flexibility

Zoned Business Park / Planned Development (BP/PD), the site supports light industrial, commercial, office, retail, and agricultural uses.

Prime Access

Situated near Antelope Avenue, 56th Street, and Chase Avenue, with quick access to Kearney East Expressway and I-80 (4 miles).

Infrastructure-Ready

Most infrastructure is in place. A planned sewer extension, funded by a federal EDA grant, will open more land for development and boost system capacity.

Skilled Workforce Pipeline

Local talent is supported by top-ranked schools and partnerships with Central Community College and UNK, offering industry-driven programs in manufacturing, mechatronics, and healthcare.

Public Power Support

"Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) is eager to work with and support the City of Kearney and the Development Council for Buffalo County’s continued development of a 107-acre industrial site east of Kearney.  NPPD currently serves the City of Kearney, including this site, and we recently completed a major upgrade increasing overall substation capacity.

NPPD promotes the growth of Nebraska’s economies with our low-cost rates; reliable electric service; resilient electric infrastructure; energy efficiency and assessment programs; and support to both state and local economic development organizations, including the Development Council. Kearney has been a progressive community, and we are proud to be to alongside them by supporting the new load growth."
